Mom's Poem to Daddy

Four years ago today...
You celebrated your first father's day
While other men laughed and played
you solemnly prayed.
God had given you a precious son,
But would he ever know fun?
His first bit of life was a battle
But now he loves to "tattle!
"The Lord chose you to raise this boy.
Did you ever dream he'd be such joy?
With blonde hair and skin so fair,
He runs and plays most anywhere.
One day he will be grown,
And you will wonder whereTime has flown.
So let nothing else matter
When you hear his endless chatter.
And enjoy that face filled with gleeAs he says,
"Daddy, Pitch to Me!"
